Farewell, My Love

By Jonathan Wikkins

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Always know this,     my love… Always know this... There is someone out there,     somewhere,           who loves you,               no matter what… You will always possess     a part of my heart,           and you will always be there                 in the part you gave back… Notice I only said:     Farewell, my love… I will never say,     goodbye… For goodbye is so final… So complete… One day,     we may try again… I hope… Perhaps, on that day     in the future,           we can find it, again,               with each other… I will always have that hope… I will always wish that you,     have it too… If that is not to be,     one day,           remember what we had… Please don’t settle for anything less… I know I won’t… I know we will move on in time… Past that we have lost… We will try,     and find happiness… Find love,     and that we lost… It is out there,     my love,           somewhere… Find it,     if you can,           I will,               if I can… But if you don’t find it,     please consider me,           again… If I don’t find it,     I will consider you,           again… Farewell,     my love… Be happy, be content… Take me with you,     wherever you may go… For I will take you with me,     wherever I may go… Farewell,     My Love… Farewell… © Jonathan Wikkins December 3rd, 2001 Revised March 4, 2008 All Rights ReservedWritten December 3rd, 2001 © on Dec 03 2001 06:24 AM PST, David Michael Shurtleff    pain • sad • personal • life • hope
