For Today

By Jonathan Wikkins

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

For today we are all gathered here,     to witness something special… A wedding of two people,     who always wanted something special in their lives,           and now they know they have found it… Love, honor, respect, and admiration… They’ve looked for it all their lives,     but now they have found it,           in each other,               for today, tomorrow,                     and all other tomorrows of their lives… They will live as one… Laugh as one… Stand steadfast against the storm… And love as one… Ttill the end of their lives… © Jonathan Wikkins December 6th, 2001 Revised February 4, 2001 All Rights Reserved Written December 6th, 2001 © on Dec 06 2001 04:35 AM PST, David Michael Shurtleff   love
