The Inner Journey

By Jonathan Wikkins

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I embark on a journey,     my inner journey... The one to find myself... Who am I? Why am I? What did I do     to deserve what happened? When life passes us by,     we must become part of it,           else, we loose part of ourselves,               we allow things to happen,                     beyond our control. Find our soul,     for it knows           truly who we are,               what we are all about,                     what makes us “tick”... What we do to find it,     is look deep inside ourselves... It takes time,     to search our soul.           and to find what we are all about... We must love ourselves,     first, before we can love,           truly love, another... Circumstances change,     in our lives... Truth sometimes becomes muddled     for a while. What really matters? The journey,     for self discovery... For within the journey,     we decide... Within the quest,     we find what we have missed,           ourselves... © Jonathan Wikkins November 29, 2001 Revised March 5, 2008 All Rights ReservedWritten November 29th, 2001 © on Nov 29 2001 07:26 AM PST, David Michael Shurtleff   spiritual • life • personal
