The Soul Mate

By Jonathan Wikkins

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

We look for love,     true love,           in many places,               sometimes it is never found… But look we do… To a lucky few,     love seems to come           easily, naturally… Without effort,     or so it seems… Often, we ask ourselves,     Where is love to be found? Therefore we look,     and look some more… And one day,     one day,           a soulmate appears… We don’t “find” a soulmate,     our souls do… When our eyes meet     with someone who is           our soulmate,               our souls connect,                     in ways we never knew… It is as if     our souls know,           what we are to find… And they put us     in the right place,           at the right time… And our soul mate     appears… And then… It starts… © Jonathan Wikkins March 21, 2002 Revised March 3, 2008 All Rights ReservedWritten March 21st, 2002 © on Mar 21 2002 03:04 AM PST, David Michael Shurtleff   love
