Time Heals All Wounds

By Jonathan Wikkins

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Time has a way     of healing           what happens to us… In time,     life gets better again… Wounds can be deep,     like watching your soulmate           die in your arms,               at the age of 47… Wounds can be wide,     like watching a relationship,           you thought you wanted,               disintegrate right before your eyes… Then just as that one goes… Another one comes in… Like it was supposed to be… Like it was meant to be… Healing comes in many ways,     all it takes is time… I was told     “time heals all wounds”… All I could say was     “how much time?” But it does…     and the time it takes,           is up to us… So we just simply     give ourselves           time to heal… © Jonathan Wikkins March 21, 2002 Revised March 3, 2008 All Rights ReservedWritten March 21st, 2002 © on Mar 21 2002 01:46 AM PST, David Michael Shurtleff   spiritual
