Village of the Damned

By Jonathan Wikkins

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Amongst us all, there is the Evil;     yet it is hidden, appearing for good… Guard yourself,     for it wants your soul;           take heed, for it comes from the east… I, the gentle Muse,     have been sent with a message;           that message is goodness and love… There are those amongst you,     which do not wish this message           to be told… The Evil shall deceive you; for he must,     it is all he knows… Good shall conquer evil,     yet it shall be a difficult fight… The Muse must remain anonymous, hidden,     for the Evil shall attempt to silence his voice;           still his pen… Until all words are spoken, written, the Muse     must remain as so… The Village of the Damned is growing,     and will continue… It wishes all the souls     it can take… It is written,       “There can be no light without dark,           no good without Evil.” Dark days, evil times are nearing;     goodness and light shall come           after the dark and evil times ahead… Allow yourself no contact with evil,     once it is brought forth… For it will take you with it,     when it is banished to the place,           from whence it came… Allow your eyes to see past its lies,     your heart shall know the truth,           for it was given that truth,               when you came into being… Take heed… © Jonathan Wikkins October 28th, 2001 Revised February 5, 2008 All Rights Reserved Written October 28th, 2001 © on Oct 28 2001 02:23 AM PST, David Michael Shurtleff   contemporary • dark • hope • society • spiritual
