What Do You Want?

By Jonathan Wikkins

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

What do you want from me? Time? Space? Happiness? Do you want that     with me, or not? You lost your sparkle     in your eyes… I have not seen you smile     towards me in weeks… But, you keep calling,     stopping by,           almost as if to taunt me… Almost as if,     to show me something… If so, what is it you     are trying to show me? What you should do is this… Do not call me… Do not come by… If it is time you need,     then take it… But if it is     as you seem to show, That you want “US” again… DO NOT take too long… If you are only “stringing” me along… Then stop… Move on… Let me do the same… If you do happen to want “US” again… Then show it… Soon… But not until you WANTit… But still,     do not wait too long… For when I am ready, And the time is right, for me… I will move on… And make you part of my past,     possibly NEVER to return… © Jonathan Wikkins December 1, 2001 Revised March 4, 2008 All Rights ReservedWritten December 1st, 2001 © on Dec 01 2001 06:55 AM PST, David Michael Shurtleff   angst
