Wisdom of the Aged

By Jonathan Wikkins

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

It is I,     the muse… I have returned     once again… This time with     Wisdom of the Aged… The source of which     escapes me… Allow the words written,     to enter your soul… For I,     the muse,           am only               the messenger… “Take heed, for the end is near,     the evil walks amongst you… Do not listen to its words,     for it will destroy your soul… “There are those amongst you,     who know the truth,           seek them out,               for they are the way,                     take heed… There will be those who deceive you,     those which will bear false witness… “Pay attention to your heart,     as they bear their words,           for it knows the truth… But, you must listen… “When love presents itself to you     in one of its many forms,           know this,               it is from your creator… For with love,     you shall prevail… And that love     will show you the way… “That way shall not be easy,     for it is fraught           with danger and heartache… Yet have faith     that love is with you…” From whence these words arrive,     it appears there           shall be more, forthcoming… When they appear,     I shall present them to you… Yet, it is up to you to listen,     pay heed… © Jonathan Wikkins October 17, 2001 Revised March 7, 2008 All Rights ReservedI'm not sure where these words of wisdom are coming from Written October 17th, 2001 © on Oct 17 2001 07:50 AM PST, David Michael Shurtleff   society • spiritual • thoughts
