I Want
By Karen6211
I Want I want green leaves rustling on the tress. Sun shimmering down thought them flickering off my skin; Like a gigantic wave of sound; Whispering in the world’s ear. I want the sweet aroma of a spring flower; Rising up to my senses of smell; Filling my head with the sweetness of spring: Like innocence of a new born baby fawn. I want to watch the dewfall of a flower petal; Grazing a fluffy lush layer of moist grass; Watching as a small rabbit runs in and open field. As if no one is watching, making small circular trails. I want to watch the fog rise of a small stream; Filling the sky with it’s wonderful beauty; Like a fluffy blanket, growing larger, drifting deeper into the heavens; As it slowly disappears. I want to watch a new born baby calf come into the world; Taking it’s first breath of this air on earth; As I watch, snuggles its mother looking for comfort; As she licks the life giving fluids of it’s warm moist skin. I want to watch a small child pick dandelions; As it runs thought the grass with it treasurer? Getting to its destination only to find out the flower is gone; And watching the child run back for more. I want to watch my children grow old. And them having children watching my family tree grow. Loving each and ever grandchild if it was my own; Giving them the hope of love that can happen, if let be. I want to see the beauty of their sparkling eyes; As I play with them on a blanket in the sun. Having them say in a soft sweet voice I love you Mama; As they tell me I chase all their fears away. I want to grow old watching God's wonder; With hope of you being by my side sharing the beauties with me; Watching every little movement in this God given heaven, called earth. But most of all I want You, My love, here beside me. Written March 27th, 2002 © on Mar 26 2002 11:29 PM PST, K.G. Fannin 0 • 12
