The Blood Froze Right to It

By Katrina Armour

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I gave you this and that, and the doctors are so much better here. I love you more than ever, Now that we know you're just like me. I'll build you a castle and a life for when you come home and see that the blood froze right to it. There is nothing left to fear. Just let them have a look, let them have a jab, let them have a peak at what our life is like. The most they may give you is three months. I hope you come home soon; I'll let you see how the blood froze right to it... Oh, I love you more than ever Now that we know you're just like me.
