Shattered Dreams

By KC Kay

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

How do you expect me to look at you With all the lies you've sold All the times you've promised Every single lie that you've told How do you expect me to forgive you When you've broke every peice of my heart When you promised us forever But instead are breaking my heart apart I had dreams that I looked forward to Of spending so much of my life with you But instead you repay me like this Telling me you promise we can work this through The thing is you've said it before And I agreed to try and work it out It didn't work then But you say I have nothing to doubt But why should I believe you When you've told me nothing but lies When everytime I want to be with you I end up with tears running from my eyes So I guess it's time to give in I have nothing left to give There will be nothing more but shattered dreams And a better life to live Written April 1st, 2002 © on Apr 01 2002 10:38 AM PST   0 • 8
