Beepers

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I could hear them beeping, I could hear the sound, I could see them fading, Into the barial ground, Everyone is praying, Can you make it pass, But of course it didn't, The beepers made it last, I can hear them, in my dreams, I can hear, the peoples screams, I can feel, the pain and loss, But this is, what it's cost, The beepers keep sounding, In the background, You can see the dust of buildings, Laying all around, You can hear their spirits, Fading in the skies, You can hear them crying, seperating lives, Yet the beepers keep on sounding, They keep their terrible sound, Making me shiver, Knowing what's in the ground, Hear the beepers ringing, Loud but not so glad, Knowing that my mommy's here, Why is she so sad?About Sept. 11 and the Beepers go off when a fireman is down. I thought it was sad so I wrote about it. Written December 9th, 2001 © on Dec 16 2001 08:28 AM PST, Melinda Hatfield   18 • 0 • 9
