Lady Rebecca, Chapter 1: The Store

The streets were filled with busy people that cold winter day. Everyone was pushing to get threw the long lines. Spring was coming soon, only a mounth away. Everyone wanted to get their crops ready early.       Rebecca ran threw the huge crowd holding onto her little brown basket her mother had made for her. She had only 7 gold coins for the buying. Her list was short and sweet, 2 horses, 3 bags seed and 1 oxen and she had 1 coin for spice. Her long brown hair danced as she raced into the town store. She smiled at Angel and Kyle. "How are you two today?"       Kyle smiled at her, "Saving your oxen and horses I see." He points out the window. "Angel's goign to get your spice and your seed. Please don't tell father I gave you a small price lower. It's normally 2 gold coins but for such a talented-"       Angel smiled as she interrupted, "Bet winner." She dropped the seed on the counter. She yawned at Rebecca, "What do you know dear friend?" She grabbed the seed.       Rebecca smiled at her, "Well, I know that Kyle has no fighting skills and he defently won't make it into the royal army!" She teased him as he tensed. Rebecca put the 7 coins on the counter as I continuned speaking, "I'm sure the king needs a new scholar though, am I right Kye?" Her eyes lowered on the frustated man.       Angel giggled, "If he could make that." She put the Spice in the Basket as Rebecca picked it up. Kyle picked up 2 bags of seed adn Angel got the other one. She smiled at Rebecca, "We saved Magic and Rainbow. Now you have 2 to bred with your male, Tinter. I'm sure your father hasn't a mind. We also got you a female oxen, her name is April, she'll make nicely. You can bred her with your one as well."       Rebecca thought lightly to herself, Angel always had the perfect picking for her. It was always Angel who picked out her seed and horses. Angel was the animal doctor or this small village, just as Kyle was the scholar. Everyone knew everyone here, including Mad Micheal.       He was the only person that kept to himself, no one really knew him but Angel. Angel always visited him. Everyone said she was mad and someday would get her worth, but I don't believe he's evil, only retarded. Angel was friends with everyone, but she was Rebecca's best. Rebecca was known as the only fighting lady. Everyone betted on her when she was in a fight or argument. Her sense of humor was taunting though sometimes they'd say she has powers over people but others just say she could do with a few more swats then given.       They finally reached the horse pin where her two new horses and one knew oxen where. They ploped the three seed bags on the animals as Rebecca got on Magic. Magic was a large white horse with black main hair and tail hair, Her eyes were oval and very open with long black lashes, and would be a good fighting horse.       Rainbow was a choclate brown horse with a white strip down her head and beautiful brown tail and mane hair, her eyes were fairly close with an angle on the end but very beautiful and was a good work horse. Rebecca sat silently on the horse as Angel handed her a rope connected to the oxen and horse.       She rode off with her two horses smiling at the spices. She finally noticed that Angel had givin her double what she'd asked for. She sighed and wondered what she'd have done without her. Then she saw it, it was the directions on how to make ink and paint. Her heart fluttered as she smiled at the directions.       She finally reached home thinking about the store.....
