hiccup and slack hiccup and slack I’m building this track it leads home, you know I willing me back To what I’ve known, “You know ?” Whadda mean to say Is Weren’t you there? Back in the day? it’s one morning, He blinked “Oh, stop your moaning” I thinked Everyone was gone to hither and yawn Why was I still here? and goddamit, where’s my beer! it was two in the morning my watch told me so I’m dried, salty and boring the waitress told me so it was the still morning with me lying there half dead, coughing and swollen with a hiccup and slack I’d found my back through two sheets to the wind and four bottles of sin so this seems OK if at least I’m drunk today…I beseach your critique. I wrote this when I was drunk, about being a drunk. Cheers and blah, blah, blah; stuff like that, etc. Written February 9th, 2002 © on Feb 08 2002 04:57 PM PST 17 • 0 • 10
