Rebirth
By ktzulu
From the well of hope, Vibrant colors flow As the water dazzles And glitters sheepishly Into the fading sky, As bars of music whistle their way Free from the ground upon I stroll The trees, dancing carefree And the sky, An amazing shade Of purest purple Slowly life goes by, Grasping at reality The hope well begins to crumble From the cracks flows not Nature's lifeblood But polluted mire gels forth, As the ground's only trembling Is it's soul-searing gasping of breath The trees no longer hold their mother intact Having been axed into extinction Our sky, no longer timid and beautiful, Filled with cumulus anger, seething forth hatred Raining down Nature's, Shards of liquid pain Bellowing forth anguish As the rebirth begins Impotent minds, Returned to her womb Forever forgotten In her ashen abdomen Written January 20th, 2002 © on Jan 19 2002 08:30 PM PST 0 • 10
