Forest Lust
By kyew
Oh, the density from afar; the forest looms spreading its quiet solitary presence Far beyond its boundaries On silent feet, I approach, cautiously and with great wonder The individual icons of age- the trees that harbor its essence- Seem so stolid, almost watching I feel the weight of my intellect pressing Do I belong? Am I welcome? As I shed the trappings of humanity, the mystery of it all enraptures me A primal fear engulfs my mind leaving me with a bronze taste Of feral survival The air becomes a mode of communication My senses have expanded and multiplied... Surrogate Mother, I have come Brothers and Sisters, I have come Heed my call and answer This creature that I am knows you I pass through, disturbing nothing and leaving only my message of musk To review the day with small breaths, casually sorting (precursor to the hunt) Fills me with longing- carnal desire A need to devour the weak the injured the sick the dying the slow the unwise It courses through my veins The strength of the predator permeates my body, crushing my pseudo-will Giving me a blood obsession The path is clear; I follow Night grows and I greet it passingly with respect It is my ally- a trusted friend A companion to share my lust I can never return to that world of light where monstrous noises Invade my tranquility; Where noxious odors drive my consciousness within to hide I can no longer ignore primal instinct- baser urges of being alive I have come home and nothing can tempt me away. ever wonder what it would be like to be totally primal? a wolf in the forest? a hunter supreme?
