Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

To his kingdom we come The prince of peace where victory is won And mercy is a feast the table is set let all have a turn in the Lords supper where there is no return the wine is bitter the bread is meager but the forgiveness is bountiful He asks only one thing in return to let go of this land full of bitter and rage trampling over our hate the kingdom is near the times are hard the world is in an awful place today it is peace that we seek A rainbow of hope a cloud of forgiveness the mercy in us cries out to this land We need to come together help solve this riddle that the politics cast another world war is not our requestwe do pay their salaries and vote them in the office they govern, so why are we allowing this war to continue??
