Lover's Side
By Lightwalker
Lover’s Side She silently waits, watching snowflakes fall, Standing amongst her guardians she awaits her lover’s call. His tongue cuts though the snow, as he labors to outrun the cold, A shot breaks through the silence, as fates will soon unfold. He stands upon a hilltop, Prince of his domain, he turns to face his foe, and offer his attacker equal pain. As she hastens to his rescue, to be by her lover’s side, she gets there to find emptiness, no teeth, no claws, no hide! Miles away a man tells lies, but the snow tells only true. He did not wane alone. He killed one man of two.March 29 1999, Written September 15th, 2001 © on Sep 14 2001 06:23 PM PST 0 • 8
