Masochist
By lilanais
It's the nearness I can't bear When I'm alone with you, As if your stare might pierce right through My entire being there. And how, with carelessly chosen words You can disarm me so As I stand helpless while you throw My dignity to the birds. And you may never comprehend My masochism for Your power over my vulnerable core-- But yes, you win again.so this is the poem i submitted to poetry.com, not knowing at the time what i was getting into. errrk. let's not bring that skeleton out of the closet ever again.
