Dining In
By lilwing
Dining In I gave a pity party, to celebrate just me, and I invited, not one, nor two or three. I invited only you my love, to come and sup with me. I set the table as of old my finest white china, trimmed with gold. Richest linens to unfold, crystal goblets bright, clear and chilled cold. Flowers arranged, with colors, strong and bold. I asked you dearest, please sit down. I joined you at the table in your favorite nightgown. I poured the wine and raised my glass, a toast to us my dear, I hope you do not mind, for lonely me, just one last? This cup now empty, I can fill with tears. So come love and with me celebrate our finale. You may wear your vest of drollness and jest, a laugh or two at me, by your punnish wit, on this elegant occasion would suit it best. After all I do not ask just anyone to observe these precious tears of mine. Darling, this is you know no more than you deserve. Come liven our splendid table! Have I not given to you, Exoctic foods, rare delicacies, Spared no expense, a dish of heart and rue, Easy to find, but so hard to prepare. Dearest, tell me, how did I do? What? the party is over, You leave without dessert? Ah yes...I remember, it is true dessert was the very first course I served to you. Leave your chair, vanish! From this room take your coat woven of lustful dreams. Begone, my pity party has begun in earnest. It is time, oh foolish man, that you I banish.
