Unfinished Dream
By lilwing
Unfinished Dream Now the purple-pink streaks have vanished from my sight, leaving only the heavier blues that deepen into black night, as they lie o'er the silent dark of the ocean's still green, pressing on the horizon, drawing the last of God's daily scene. The sea gulls are stacked neatly in row upon silent, sturdy row. No sand rustles or shifts as the wind rests, stirring nothing below. In the quietude of sunset gone, the intermezzo of sleeping time, my heart awakens, hoping for dawn, only to find, no sun giving gleam. There is just the remnants of my unfinished dream.
