Never letting go
By LittleShy0
How to say good-bye? It’s been over three years yet I still hide. I stood at your grave, Dropped my poem into your grave. You were my best friend, Yet like my other, you left me alone. You never saw me as a problem, Always wanting to see my little drawings, My colorful words on paper, on my voice. You taught me how to act with my own talent, You told me stories as I sat by your feet, My first picture you drew me, I will always keep With my unicorn drinking from it’s pond. You found me charming, likeable, an angel, perfect, Your fond blue eyes saw the real me for who I was. I was your shy little flower, still waiting to bud You left me alone before I bloomed Grandma Died before I was ready to let you go. One thing I will always know, deep into my soul. I will always be your little girl, and now I see some of your finer things. I see the world through your eyes.Like, like True Believer, I wrote this poem for my English class project. I wrote this one in reply to one my grandmother wrote a year before she died. Written January 13th, 2002 © on Jan 13 2002 01:29 AM PST 18 • 0 • 1
