Checkmate

White pawn to C4, Cold, white, ivory. Strategy, charm, methodology. Black knight to C6, Colder, black, onyx. The pawn sees a modest goal, An opportune sortition. He plays passively, in wait and strives to meet the goal. Does he make it? Go across The check'd Day and night board? Hardly. Smitten, smote. In one fell swoop A modest goal 'twas, A less modest foe had he.It's short and I used weird language, it's really unlike what I usually write, but I want to give a wide variety of schtuff I've written.
