By Lone Poet
This heart weighs heavy, an iron reel harder than marbled fieldstone bitter shards of cold steel, nerves brittle as severed bone inferno burns higher, heartache and greed unforsaken human desire, pyre's smoldering flames we feed pain shears the breath of life cuts like a stiletto dagger, sharp, jaggedly edged knife shoved deep down with anger heaven and hell intermesh death chips at stubborn pride, rips at deadened clay flesh tearing your soul from inside love melts icy veins, frozen block of liquid tears thaws out, turning to rain, washes away hidden fears panic looms, struggling to stay sane, dreamer screaming to be set free light succumbs to its darkest hour, embark upon an eternal journey on fate's A-train tightly bound by the holiest power of three (c) 6/01, 3/04 SmS Written February 6th, 2002 © on Feb 05 2002 04:53 PM PST, Sheryl Marcia Schwartz 18 • 12 • 1
