All Wrong
By Lone Poet
Today we are alive and kicking here, next a stray bullet and bang you're dead no more sickness, neurotic worries or fear, "it'll be ok!", so everyone mistakenly said "A great, new life waits on the other side you'll enter a splendored garden of Eden!" but I truly think they all conveniently lied, it's filled with stifling heat, hate and greed Those blinded priests were so unrighteously wrong feasting at twilight on roast beast, wine and singsong, naively lost their lives fighting for the slightest chance to finally meet their savior, find out if the dead can dance But the well-raved excitingly comatose jig is long done, home's now a shallow grave torching in hell, rotting alone winged souls of light coasting near a citrus-bright scorching sun, to roam eternity wallowing in pity and be grossly shunned; ...Now everyone, doesn't that sound like a carnival of fun? (c) 2/01, 3/04 SmSThis is my cynical, pessimistic side speaking. Sssshhh!! My optimistic side is sleeping.
