Am I Going Insane

By Lone Poet

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Sometimes I feel I’ve gone insane My intense fears are driving me there, Chronic sickness, stress, and the pain Make me think it’s too much to bear Am I really crazy or just depressed? Do I hear voices and can I see God?, If I answer yes to the last two, you guessed I’m nuttier than a squirrel in Cape Cod Mentally ill is but a simple paraphrase For kindhearted people too unable to cope, A good, long talk to offer supportive praise Could be smarter medicine than mind dope Am I clinically insane? That’s open for debate But then again, Just ask my mate (c) 10/01, 6/03 SmSNO, I don't hear voices (except my own twisted thoughts), or see God.  He/She/IT/ET could be anywhere and everywhere, who am I to say?  He could be on this website right this very minute (telling all of you to read my poetry)!   Written January 31st, 2002 © on Jan 30 2002 06:30 PM PST, Sheryl Marcia Schwartz   18 • 11 • 1
