If Ever I Had A Friend
By Lone Poet
If ever I knew much about a good friend Whose undying loyalty I would defend, Whenever I gave my love, so very true The same touch would be saved for you, Two brave souls bonded from start to end Came from faraway but to shyly say Why your care and blessings abound, Silver angel wings fluttering at play Fairy heartstrings, tinkle bells resound If ever a partner of mine...I had, indeed To trust such a life into hands of faith, To gladly heal my wounds when they bleed Feel not any hostility, strife, or wrath Only sun-kissed warmth radiating inside Never hate, pain, lies, or stubborn pride, And if ever the day we must miss one another You'd still remain as sister or brother Nothing finer than to feed Your mad, contagious laughter, A binding of real friends in need Treasured friends last forever after (c) 12/00, 3/04 SmSThis is to all my friends...I love you! Thanks for your kindness and comments, and keeping me writing by showing your support and appreciation...you're a big part of the reason I continue at it! I hope I can inspire you the way I was, even in some tiny way. Sometimes it's hard to show how much I appreciate someone, so I will say it with my poem!
