That Place (Forgotten Cove in Paradise)
By Lone Poet
Caught that place as I blinked my eyes... glimpses of by-gone days somewhere in time flash frozen in an ambient sigh remembrances having all but stood still heart drumming to their vein-pulsing trill quaint horsedrawn cobblestones peeking moonlit eves gothic chimerin brownstones starry-eyed lavender dreams lighthouse beacons flickered high nautical tide-swept marbled shores white-tipped gulls soared New England skies orca sightings graced ocean's door Such a shame I left so soon I'll miss it all the same if granted one single wish I would choose but for that place to charm my name so shall my spirit remain in that forgotten cove in paradise. (c) 1999 SmSThis is about Boston and its surrounding towns, espec. Marblehead. The scenery is beautiful there in the fall. I went in November, the leaves had already fallen, but it was still amazingly picturesque. Was there in '99, but hope to go back after the "Big Dig" is done. I'd love to be buried there, in the sea with my whale and dolphin friends. Written February 10th, 2002 © on Feb 10 2002 09:29 AM PST, Sheryl Marcia Schwartz 9 • 8 • 4
