The Game of Life
By Lone Poet
We live and breathe we love, we hate, heart worn on our sleeve we pick a soulmate who fits like a glove husband and wife from a seed give birth celebrate new life that grew on this earth from a heavenly grace above we are the human race we get sick, then heal face different beliefs, but bleed the same we cry, we feel place the blame we learn to trust we all must die deal with grief ashes turn to dust leave to a higher berth, to be judged by our deeds where there's no more strife we need to mourn we want to believe from death's flames we're reborn as Lady's steel sword was drawn from stone but we can't conceive what is real that which flesh and bone reveal this is the game of life, take it for whatever it's worth (c) 9/00 SmS Written February 2nd, 2002 © on Feb 01 2002 10:17 PM PST, Sheryl Marcia Schwartz 0 • 10 • 13
