Time for Rock
By Lone Poet
Golden orb of light, spirits soar quivering rainbows trickle off the dance floor, vibrations ignite in melting heat pulses racing to the club's riveting beat Bodies in motion, quick rapture suspended in time, clicking shutters capture, go one step further, if you dare the time is right, sparks fly in the air Highway to the stars, cosmic dances velvet fantasies and rich romances, sweat dripping, no time to yield food for feet, let down your shield Open up to supreme enlightenment throbbing rhythm flows with excitement, in a wink of an eye it will soon be gone so grab what you can, 'cause it's all or none Can you feel its hold on you? Can you see that which came before you?, Breathe in the sweet vapors emanating around you As the music's soaking rains send currents resonating through veins, above and beyond your wildest dreams taken to the highest extremes Wonder what I'm babbling about? rock 'n' roll, twist and shout, grooving and swaying all night long life is naught without a great love song, and an earth-shattering sound to hum along; Orbs revolving atop the dance floor, bring back that old-time rock, nothing more (c) 8/96 SmSI miss the disco era, psychedelic clubs, dancing all night to rock. GROOVY BABY!! I just decided to put this as lyrics...something in this poem sounds more like a song...hmmm, just maybe? Not sure but I'll leave it as lyrics.
