Distance

By Lost Fire Heart

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Looking at you from so far away. How did it happen? How did we get here? Not together and frighteningly alone. Your there, I'm here. Do you care to be near? No, you don't. And to be near you makes me sick. Stay far away, distance will be my only friend. Comfort from the enemy. Who is the enemy? A ghastly, dark figure, there in the corner. Come to shorten the distance. To remind me of my loss. TO kill my hope and joy. Having you so far away, used to be a burden. Now it is a joy. The dark figure grows, and closes the distance. It's here to consume me. Here to kill me. But I will not let the pain overcome the joy of distance. To you, a friend which was loved and lost. Stay away, I do not want you near.
