The Endless Dance
By Mad Moon
She crept down the stairs to the party below, and there awaited her chance. She stood on his toes and clung to his knees, the first time he taught her to dance. A towering figure of power and strength, he rose above her world. A gentle giant, a guiding force to that "oh-so-little" girl. Time has passed. Now she clings to his waist, and she no longer stands on his toes. The party is formal - white satin and lace, but the first dance is "His," he knows! They dance together now, face to face. His eyes reflect her world. The party is over - she's moving on, but she's secretly still "His Girl." We're dancing now, inside my dreams. We'll always be together. As I close my eyes and visualize, I'm dancing with my father. Written November 27th, 2001 © on Nov 27 2001 08:51 AM PST, Mad Moon 18 • 0 • 10
