'Everyone Dies'

By Marie3

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The vodka bottle comforts me Tells me, don't you cry I am left here alone And my spirit begins to die I wonder if you can hear me Or if you know my pain Do you see the heartache? And the tears that fall like rain? I start to wish that you were here To see the sorrow that fills these eyes The windows to my soul fill with tears As I look to star-lit skies Knowing I will never touch them Or live to see another sun I take one last look Knowing that this life is done I don't want you to be in pain And I don't want you to cry Because I am just a person And every person has to die Written February 18th, 2000 © on Oct 04 2001 01:29 AM PST   18 • 0 • 1
