To My Son
You are such a wonderful gift; The best little boy on Earth; You are not really my child; But I've helped raise you from your birth. I love you as if you were my own; In fact I call you son; I would literally die for you; And it's been that way since your life begun. I wouldn't trade you for the world; You mean that much to me; I'll be here for you no matter what; Just watch me and you will see. Nobody could ever take your place; Those are shoes nobody could fill; You will always be my son; In a hundred years I'll be loving you still. Always take care of yourself; And always know you make me proud; Of all the little boys in the world; You'll be my pick in any crowd. Written August 28th, 2001 © on Aug 28 2001 02:54 PM PST 0 • 10
