The Flight Of My Heart

By Maysun

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

The song I hear as the wild geese fly, Lonely and haunting and blue, Is the song that echoes deep in my heart Whenever I think of you. It's the siren song of a distant land Where my true love dreams of me. I follow that haunting wild goose song Off to the eastern terrains, But the wild geese left- they've flown away; Now only the song remains.
