God, take away the tearsThat I see in America's eyes.Make the world peaceful enoughTo erase the fears I have inside.I'm scared of what's happened,And I'm scared of what's to come.I'm scared of all the hatred;What has the world become.I want to feel safe to be free,I want the opportunity to grow up.Despite all the violence I see around meI want to be able to experience many more rising suns.People here are suffering,It's shown within their face.I wish you could bring their loved ones back,God, put comfort in their worries' space.God, please stop the violence,Fill people's hearts with love.God, please guide us through this tragedyWe need a miracle sent from above.
