My Strength, My Friend, My Mother
By meganmb2004
I know I don't say it too much, But thank you for everything you've given me. The unconditional love you've expressed Means everything in the world to me. You've shown me how to smile, When times seemed to be at their worst. You've shown me it's okay to cry When I was filled with hurt. You've helped me to the top, No matter how much I hit the ground. You've encouraged me to chase my dreams, And ignore how impossible they may sound. You've shown me true friendship When everyone else deserted me. When I was weak you helped me fight, And when I was blind you helped me see. When I could only see lies, You helped me find the truth. Whenever I thought I could go no more You made sure I stuck things through. You've given me the support I need, That has helped me to succeed. You've taken away the doubts I've had That have kept me from my dreams. I don't know what I would do If you weren't by my side. I'm grateful that I've been blessed With a mother like you in my life.
