Too many times I have not said, How much I appreciate the things you do. Too many times I've failed to mention How much I truly do love you. You've guided me through tough times, And as a small child you held my hands. You've given me enough distance to become my own person, And you learned to let go when I could stand. Your words have been the courage I need To gain my second wind. And I know you'll always be proud of me Despite if I lose or if I win. How can I begin to thank you For everything you've done? For chasing away the dark clouds, And bringing along the sun. You've filled my life with so much hope, When it was filled with broken dreams. Despite how much it might have hurt, You allowed me to test my broken wings. You've never given up on me, So I owe everything to you. I can't possibly begin to tell you How much I appreciate the things you do. How can I thank you for your time and love, For all my magical years? For helping me become the person that I am, And shinning light upon my fears. How do I find the words To thank you for what you've done?
