Why did you build up my heart, Just to watch it crumble to the ground? Why did you say everything you did, If you knew you wouldn't be around? You've been everything to me, But now you've just taken it away. How can you tell me you love me If you don't mean everything you say? How can you tell me you'll never let go, If I can no longer feel your grasp? Why would you make me believe I'm always yours If you knew this wouldn't last? Why did you tell me you'll never hurt me, And then stand and watch me cry? You've told me that you would never give up, But now you won't even try. You told me you're not like the others, But I've been heartbroken once more. After I've told you I need you here, How could you walk out and close the door?
