Turn To Gray
By Mike Lane
He's traveling the learning alley- where the children ride their bikes but never fly their kites- too much crap over head, too much gettin' in the way- He has made this alley his home- never left the day- It's hard for him to feel the guilt when he's never felt the pain- And he has come to see that his every Sunday is someone else's holiday- So he just keeps traveling- kites held tightly at his side- Although he never really moves- he is really very smooth- Keeps his eyes glued too long on the horizon- never ever thinks to look upward- catch a good whiff of the moon- So what has he learned today? he learned to stand in line- Thoughts that turn to gray- Written October 12th, 2001 © on Oct 31 2001 02:20 AM PST 0 • 1
