Old Release: The Visitor
By MikeLondon
A friend has come to see you I think that's what they say as if from a distance another knock into my consciousness no, do not enter, stray far away but the persistence of their pleading comes across in a damned shouting voice hear me they say the children do not acknowledge the visitor's truth no one wants to look up from their tasks and view this entity in all its splendour no one's really sure why the visitor stands there looking at me with that quite intensity no one knows but me this visitor's true nature so you want them, these offspring of mine and the visitor nods that phantom head of his laughing and showing that guttural tooth grin fanged with hollow glory standing in the room the surroundings become confused the children look from their tasks screaming in horror their voices become ripped with emotion stabbed with the ferocious will to survive in the corner my eyes blind themselves momentarily and the children have been taken to the visitor i give all and the incredulity of youth, once vibrant now withers and stands smitten with the frostWritten November 30th, 2001 © on Nov 29 2001 05:48 PM PST, Michael Edward London contemporary • dark • humor • life • love • lyrics • nature • pain • personal • sad • weird
