behold
By miranduh
she walks along without a care in the world kicking stones and singing to herself stepping in every puddle she can find. she looks up. the stars don't look much different then they did last night, but to her they do and everything looks different and the moonlight makes the streets look scary but she tells herself time and time again, she is not afraid. she bends down to tie her shoe and her sneakers have been through everything with her from dancing in school hallways and being stepped on at shows to sneaking out last night, but they're still her favorite pair and she will never throw them away. she passes the houses of the people she used to know. it makes her sad. she tells herself that she's better off... but she knows she doesn't believe it. she'll never believe it. she's almost home so she takes an extra turn so it'll take a little bit longer. shes still singing to herself. same song -- its always that same song that song tells her story almost home -- walking slow shes ready to lock the doors and listen to some music ready to dance in her room ready to scream. she opens the door licking off her lip gloss she smiles and for a second she's beautiful -- and that's all that matters.
