Six months and sixty wish-you-were-here poems later
By missmfa
You left me hanging up to dry While I tried my best not to cry I've never been one to beg Thought you were just pulling my leg Now six months and sixty wish-you-were-here poems later I still don't feel any better And you wanna hear something insane? I think I'm falling in love with you all over again! This is not how I had pictured it It was supposed to be warm and cosy and neat But six months and sixty wish-you-were-here poems later I'm ten years older and I know better Roses are not red, they are just thorny "You've got mail" is just a fairy movie And fairy movies don't come true At least not in the case of me and you Six months and sixty wish-you-were here poems later I still haven't found anyone better I still think you are The One My Friend, My Lover, My Man It's possible to love what you cannot see But to be loved back is not a guarantee I guess they were right I can't be on your mind while I'm out of your sight I guess they were right all along This "love" was bound to go wrong So six months and sixty wish-you-were-here poems later It's only my poetry that's better Written February 26th, 2002 © on Feb 25 2002 05:34 PM PST, Mildred Achoch 18 • 0 • 8
