Alone

By MistressLynx

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

I walk this world alone, So many times betrayed. I'm caught up in a whirlpool, Living every day afraid. What's going on around me? Could it be wrong, or right? Am I weird just because I don't stay out all night? What is so different, That everyone seems to see? Is it just because I choose, To just let me, be me? Things just don't seem fair, But there's nothing much I can do. I guess I'll just stand tall And bravely endure it through. Life continues on, Forever, day to day, But I'll dance to my own drum, And walk in my own way. Written October 5th, 2001 © on Oct 05 2001 12:11 PM PST   18 • 0 • 9
