Day in December

By mtpoet

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Day in December begins with snow-- flakes floating thru air-- crisp wind driving squalls that continue until the ground turns white as the empty page on my computer screen before the word appears first the top of Jack's Knob then the bottom along Upchurch hollow wears the blanket of winter with cold fingers upon naked skin the word thrills me footprints tracking from the trunk of a large oak will be lost but not that moment for I know I am about to be led somewhere new.
