She walks in sunlight
By mtpoet
She walks in sunlight toward the savage sea, the girl, a siren of 20 years she waits upon the page, to dance--to twirl & lures poets to tears perhaps toward the words of her own verse & in a voice more mist than a wave is wet--words more less of an ancient curse than sea of sun--kissed... She walks in sunlight deeper than the sea & calmer than all wrong & on the beach she writes, dragging toes thru sand, the song, that luring siren's song. It lingers but a moment & then is gone swept clean in tide's receding. Written December 15th, 2001 © on Dec 15 2001 04:07 AM PST, Rudy Thomas 0 • 10
