Falling for Haiku

I. Patches of pumpkinsWaiting for someone to comeWanting to make pies.II. Red-orange leaves fallRiotous pools of colorDelight the senses.III.Sunset's rays have piercedStiff brown grass casting shadowsStraight across the path.IV.Golden moon rides high'Cross the cloudless ink-black skyHarvest time has come.Haiku is not easy. I should have been able to say all this in one 5-7-5 verse. I did try to keep it as short as possible without losing too much integrity of a beautiful form of poetry. My apologies to Basho.
