("...please pick for me the first flower you see...") Following  the wine route of the Little Karoo I found your flowers ... awaiting my approach with  splendid  perseverance yearning for release from the mortal stem of barrenness and drought Let me present  to you: Nymania Capensis ... Chinese Lantern ... Klapperbos after the insignificant bloom this rose-pink paper pod — with its 4 chambers like the human heart and the 4 seeds imbedded in the 4 corners of the transparent leaves longing for  the 4 Winds and their Destiny ... the 4 corners of this Earth and Bougainvillea X Buttiana with its South American roots — with its 3 crimson leaves caressing  the tentative seeds of 3 sanctituded styles symbol of Trinity and Humanity growing without  the passionate hand or the admiring glance I am sending you this poetical gift of reason this perfect 7 rhyming Earth and Heaven I send it flying over the seas moved by the Spirit to a new Beginning in the earnest Soul of Eternity myra 2002 Written February 5th, 2002 © on Jan 11 2003 03:06 AM PST, Myra Lochner    0 • 8
