Formula for Colour Fantasy

By Myra Lochner

Topics: Poetry Source: AllPoetry Original source

Do not be bored by this unpolished Stone - this Cosmic Jewel! For steelblue Hope or the garish canary yellow of Tiffany's scope, follow this formula of Divine accuracy: Add to one atom of either nitrogen or boron one million atoms of carbon and the Pure White Crystal sparkles color fantasy ... Define herafter Femininity the Ultimate Fancy on the axiom fire-ice: see the glistenings of golden sun unmeasurable in carat, smiles of fun; the silver whispers of the moon not appraisable in sterling's swoon. So magnificent this Journey but oh! so lonely ... Warmth against the Futuristic Freeze -- far-off Stars within reach: capturing the eyes of God set in claws of Gold myraColoured diamonds (fancies): the Hope Diamond (steelblue, 1669, Galconda, India) and the Tiffany Diamond (canary yellow, 1878, Kimberley, South Africa). The formula by the Creator is magnificent. It reminds me of the dualism of True Femininity: fire and ice. She wears her jewels with flair. I am thrilled being a woman!
