Oh sweet Night of Compromise! the stars above are sparkling eyes that see and do not tell those secrets kept with glee for centuries they write their scripts against the velvet of Love's Lips; at night naiads' nocturnal lovesongs ring: the oceanic Lorelei begins to sing Oh sweet Night of Compromise! how wonderous to rest within your gaze whilst seeds of future Love is sown; the light of a thousand brilliant miles drifts like shining kisses on the ocean's tides. Oh sweet Night of Compromise! how good to feel without disguise the noctiflorous strokes of naked skies! oh dark dishevelled line of shells and lace will you excite me with your alga taste? Oh sweet Night of Compromise! the words left hanging there with you in space say nothing yet create a million waiting dreams; I open wide my arms to gather you in warm embrace wandering where sky and ocean splay a Silver Seam Oh sweet Night of Compromise! like spreading starlight shimmering on the tide I haul in our feelings with the net of Love : to harvest all that silver, floating upon the waves : to bring its glow to darkness and enlight all caves ... oh sweet Night of Compromise! the stars above are sparkling eyes that see and do not tell those secrets kept with glee myra Written March 16th, 2002 © on Mar 15 2002 06:58 PM PST, Myra Lochner    10 • 0 • 8
